I was always a little in awe of Great-aunt Stephina Roos. Indeed, as children we were all frankly terrified of her.The fact that she did not live with the family, preferring her tiny cottage and solitude to the comfortable but rather noisy household where we were brought up-added to the respectful fear in which she was held.

China is a Loong, not a Dragon!

Loong is translated as "dragon" wrongly. In fact, Loong is so different in nature from the evil Dragons in the western world. Loong in China is a slim, inoffensive and benevolent mythological creature, with golden or other colors but no wings.
The Chinese are proud to call themselves "the offspring of the Loong". It is the symbol of the Chinese culture.
